Kazachstania slooffiae colonization impacts bacterial colonization, metabolite profile, immune system, and intestinal development in a gnotobiotic pig model

This is the defined bacterial community used in this study to examine the role of K. slooffiae in the modulation of the immune system and the development of the intestinal system in piglets during early life. It is also one of the few studies to explore the effect of yeast colonization on any host.
