FAIRsharing record for: The Unified Medical Language System Knowledge Sources and Terminology Services

This FAIRsharing record describes: The National Library of Medicine (NLM) Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) is a set of files and software that brings together many health and biomedical vocabularies and standards to enable interoperability between computer systems. The UMLS integrates and distributes key terminology, classification and coding standards, and associated resources to promote creation of more effective and interoperable biomedical information systems and services, including electronic health records. This collection includes all resources in-scope for FAIRsharing that are: the UMLS knowledge sources, are part of the UMLS terminology services, or are directly relevant to those resources.
