Census of Governments, 1977: Finance Summary Statistics

<p>This data collection contains October 1977 finance data for state and local governments for each of eight general categories: revenue from taxes, intergovernmental revenue, revenue from charges, expenditures, debts, cash and security holdings, insurance trust system data, and government summary data. There are 14 data files in this collection. Parts 1-12 provide data for all state and local governmental units. Part 13 contains summaries for local governmental units aggregated to the county level. Part 14 contains United States and state summaries for the following types of governments: state and local government total, state government, local government total, local governments in standard metropolitan statistical areas (SMSAs), counties, municipalities, townships, school districts, and special districts.
