Future projections across Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria from 2020 - 2050

West Africa is a hotspot of rapid urban expansion with cities of varying population sizes that are increasingly interconnected. The increase in cities' expansion is impacting people and the environment; yet, previous studies on future projections of urban expansion have either focused on the individual city level. We used the <b>FUT</b>ure <b>U</b>rban <b>RE</b>gional and <b>S</b>imulation (FUTURES) model, developed for large-scale and regional-level projections and simulated development patterns across Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria.
