Indicators of the City of Oulu’s environmental programme

Indicators of the City of Oulu’s environmental programme. The indicators have been renewed in 2019 and the monitoring figures according to the new indicators will be updated to the tables in the Excel file of the City of Oulu’s environmental programme. Until 2018, data were collected in the Excel file of the City of Oulu’s ecological sustainability indicators. In this report, the data for 2007-2012 are in accordance with the old Oulu (before municipal mergers) and from 2013 onwards with the new Oulu. The Environmental Programme is one of the implementation programmes of the urban strategy Oulu 2026. The aim of the programme is to maintain good environmental status and support the vitality of the city. The starting point for the environmental programme is the priorities of the urban strategy and the policies set out in them, as well as the city’s agreements and commitments to promote environmental issues. The commitments are based on national and international agreements and regulations, the objectives and measures of which are in line with the City’s activities.
