The High-Value Patent Database for Building Intelligent Systems mainly includes invention patents and utility model patents related to building intelligent systems sourced from the global patent database. It retrieves and scores the patent data using proprietary algorithms, enabling stakeholders to understand the intellectual property (IP) filing status and geographic layout of building intelligent systems. By comparing the patent data of building intelligent systems across different enterprises, one can evaluate the technological innovation capabilities of each enterprise. Gaining insights into the development trends and core technologies of building intelligent systems helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and intellectual property infringement.
This database is developed based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), combining quantitative and qualitative methods based on the patent valuation methodology. The patent value indicator system is divided into three first-level indicators: technical, legal, and economic value. The first-level indicators are further broken down into second-level indicators:
1. Technical value indicators: number of independent claims, word count of the primary independent claim (sovereign claim), remaining patent term, number of patent family members, number of citations made by the patent, number of citations received by the patent, score of applicant type, number of participating inventors, and number of covered technical fields;
2. Legal value indicators: patent type, number of document pages, and number of invalidation requests filed against the patent;
3. Economic value indicators: number of transfers, number of licenses, number of pledge financing transactions, score of patent awards, and score of customs recordation.
A three-dimensional matrix is established based on the first-level and second-level indicators. Corresponding data indicators for patent evaluation are obtained through patent interface data using patent names and patent numbers. Using the 1-9 scaling method (minimum score: 1, maximum score: 9), the weights of each indicator are calculated. Each indicator's score is multiplied by its corresponding weight, and the sum of all weighted scores constitutes the patent's total score. Patents are classified according to score intervals, providing technical references and guidance for R&D personnel of enterprises engaged in building intelligent systems, and offering R&D decision-making support for relevant companies.
