The dataset comprises 14 NATO member countries’ military expenditure (ME) and related economic indicators, 1971-1990. These are 14 NATO member countries’ ME, the product of all sample countries’ ME divided by its own ME (spillover1), the sum of all sample countries’ ME minus its own ME (spillover2), 14 NATO allies’ GDP, and Former USSR’s GDP. All these variables are logarithms of first differenced time series.
