In this project we built transcripts of Y-linked sequences from echidna, elephant, gorilla, marmoset, mouse, opossum, orangutan, platypus, rat and wallaby. Male and female RNAseq and genomic data was used to determine the sequences of Y transcripts in these species. Similarly, we identified W-linked transcripts using RNAseq and genomic data from chicken.
