Complementary Materials for the Article "One Reconstruction, Three Experiences: Expert Insights into Mediated Access to a Digitally Reconstructed Lost Altarpiece" — Anonymized Questionnaire Responses

Description This dataset contains the anonymized questionnaire responses collected as part of the study presented in the article “One Reconstruction, Three Experiences: Expert Insights into Mediated Access to a Digitally Reconstructed Lost Altarpiece.” The questionnaires were administered to experts to gather their assessments of three different media for accessing and exploring a digitally reconstructed lost altarpiece: a kiosk-based interface (Kiosk), a physical maquette (Maquette), and a virtual reality environment (VR). The dataset contains: quantitative ratings concerning the suitability, usability, accessibility, and potential applications of each medium; assessments of how the different media support the communication of specific aspects of the reconstructed altarpiece; evaluations concerning the distinction between preserved and reconstructed/lost elements; assessments of the feasibility of creating and maintaining each medium; participants’ fields of expertise; and open-ended comments and observations concerning the strengths, limitations, and possible improvements of the different media. The files are provided as individual participant-level JSON records in order to document the underlying data used in the study. Participant identifiers have been anonymized. The dataset is intended to support transparency and facilitate the interpretation and reproducibility of the research. The questionnaire responses should be interpreted in conjunction with the methodology and analysis presented in the associated article.
