Images from Level 2 Historic Building Recording Works at Lyons Farm, Rowington Green, Warwickshire, April 2024

This collection comprises images from level 2 historic building recording works undertaken at Lyons Farm, Rowington Green, Warwickshire. The recording was undertaken by Archaeology Warwickshire in April 2024, ahead of demolition works. Lyons Farm farmhouse has timber-framed elements that are probably of 17th-century date and a house is shown at this location on an estate map of 1699. Two of the buildings to be demolished are brick buildings, the footprints of which are shown on the Tithe map of 1847, although one of these, the milking parlour, is a 20th-century rebuild on an historic footprint. The other extant brick building appears to have been constructed as a shelter shed, the open fronting of which had been largely filled in as the building was converted to stabling in the 20th-century.
