Prokaryotic communities of soil particle size fractions and their responsiveness to long-term fertilisation

Illumina-sequencing of prokaryotic communities of soil particle size fractions (PSF). The sand-sized fraction including particluate organic matter (63-2000 µm), coarse silt (20-63 µm), fine silt (2-20 µm), and clay (<2 µm) were obtained by mild sonication, wet sieving, and centrifugation. The following soil variants were taken from the long-term fertilisation experiment in Askov (Denmark): unfertilised (UNF), mineral fertilised (NPK), and manured (AM) soil.
