Weitefeld
The Weitefeld Dataset was developed by the Institute of Computer Graphics at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, and the Institute of Space Systems at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to support search and rescue (SAR) and manhunt missions in complex forested terrain. The dataset contains 34,424 labeled and classified anomaly instances captured across 10,659 high-resolution aerial images (8,416 × 6,032 pixels) under varying viewing angles and occlusion conditions. Additionally, 19,795 unlabeled aerial images are provided for future annotation and data collection efforts. This dataset serves as a benchmark for advancing anomaly detection methods in complex forest environments, supporting both search and rescue and manhunt operations. The dataset and its web-based online search interface are publicly accessible online, enabling users to view, analyze, and conduct additional annotation of these images and detected anomalies.
