Reconstructed glacier area and volume changes in the European Alps since the Little Ice Age

Here the datasets related to the publication entitled Reconstructed glacier area and volume changes in the European Alps since the Little Ice Age can be accessed. The dataset consists of the Little Ice Age (LIA) glacier outlines (shapefile) of the European Alps, including information about the glacier area (km^2 and parameters regarding the min, max, mean and median elevation as well as the mean thickness (all in m). Additional a raster grid of the reconstructed LIA glacier surface (.tif) in a 30 m resolution.
