Mammary tumors comprise the highest proportion of radiation-induced tumors observed in both Trp53?P and Trp53+/- mice. We are keen to investigate the potentially different mechanisms by which high compared to low LET radiation induces such frequent and varied mammary tumor types further. To this end we have extracted genomic DNA from 16 of the mammary tumors of a range of histologies, induced by high or low LET, in Trp53?P or Trp53+/- genotypes to perform whole genome sequencing upon, along with normal matched non-tumour controls. From this data, we aim to compare and contrast the different carcinogenic signatures induced by exposure to high or low LET radiation.
