The present read sets correspond to scarless mutant derivatives from the hypervirulent model strain K. pneumoniae SGH10, with deletions in the genes ppk1, ppx, and the double mutant ppk1 ppx. These mutants were obtained in a joint effort from the research groups led by Prof. Francisco Chavez and Prof. Andres Marcoleta, from Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Chile.
