Colon tissue gene expression associated with vedolizumab treatment effectiveness in ulcerative colitis.

Transcriptional profiling was performed on colorectal tissues, both inflammatory and non-inflammatory, collected from patients with ulcerative colitis. Overall design: RNA was extracted from the tissues using RNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen) and AmpliSeq libraries were prepared with the Ion AmpliSeq™ Transcriptome Human Gene Expression Kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific) using 10 ng of RNA. The resulting libraries were used for sequencing on the Ion 550™ Chip Kit , Ion 550™ Kit-Chef and Ion GeneStudio™ S5 Prime System (Thermo Fisher Scientific), and output data (BAM files) were obtained.
