Universal Design in Academic Dress: A practice-based study of differently abled persons in Cape Town, South Africa.

<strong>Ethical clearance reference number: 195086791/2021/19</strong> Data was collected from differently abled/ disabled (mobility impaired) participants who have experienced and participated in their own graduation ceremonies wearing the academic gowns offered by their respective universities. Data sought to gather the participants' physical and emotional experience of wearing the traditional academic gown during their graduation day. The information informed the researcher on whether there is a need for an inclusive academic gown to accommodate differently abled persons in this area of academic gowns.
