DecReg/MiKlip gridded fields of near-surface 2m temperature and 10m wind speed for the period 2001-2010

These gridded fields covering Europe (CORDEX domain) have been prepared within the project DecReg/MiKlip, for the period 2001-2010, in order to generate datasets for decadal climate model validation. The data include monthly and daily mean, maximum and minimum near-surface (2m) temperature, and monthly and daily mean near-surface (10m) wind speed, together with error estimates. Input data for the gridding method are the synoptic station data from the DWD MIRAKEL database, supplemented by further station data from www.ecad.eu.
