Distribution of children with disabilities by functional disability, age and gender

Selected information about children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the State Medical Commission for Health and Work Ability Examination (VDEĀVK) on certain disability during the reporting period. The statistics are obtained from the welfare information system LabIS. The age of the child shall be determined at the end of the reference period or at the date of death of the person. Total number of children with disabilities – children with disabilities who have a positive decision by the VDEĀVC during the reference period. Visual functional disorders – children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to visual impairment. Hearing functional disorders – children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to hearing impairment. Motor functional disorders – children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the basic diagnosis of which is related to mobility disorders. Mental and behavioural functional disorders – children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVK during the reference period, the underlying diagnosis of which is related to psychiatric and behavioural disorders. Other functional impairments/disturbations are not indicated: children with disabilities who have a positive decision of the VDEĀVC during the reference period, the underlying diagnosis of which is associated with other disorders or their type is not indicated.
