资源简介:

This Excel file is a Living Review of empirical Situational Action Theory research. Situational Action Theory (SAT), developed by Per-Olof Wikström, is a highly influential framework for understanding crime and rule-breaking, with growing empirical application across criminology and broader behavioural sciences. The SAT Living Review is a systematically sourced and screened collation of empirical SAT literature that has been coded, appraised and synthesized, and is updated regularly. As a starting point it includes all literature (pre-2021) encompassed in two previous SAT literature reviews. These previous review papers include considerable discussion, which the living review does not. This current version of the living review, v.1.0.0, released on 30th June 2026, builds on previous reviews by including papers published up to 26th May 2026. The next version is intended for release before the end of the year. The Living Review is a structured, searchable, editable, filterable excel database of published SAT studies that supports comparison across key dimensions including theoretical focus, study design, measurement of core constructs, analytic approach, and substantive findings. Researchers can use it to aid their research how they wish, though it should be cited appropriately. The SAT Living Review (and SAT Dashboard) was conceived of and built by Chae Rose and Beth Hardie in 2026. As it is a live and growing community resource, we welcome engagement, input, feedback and support, so please do visit our website www.satdash.org or contact us via satdashteam@gmail.com.
