The data files are related to the manuscript "Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, magnetically stabilized" by Alexandra Völkel, Armin Kögel and Reinhard Richter, submitted to J. Magn. Magn. Mater in August 2019. The data are presented in Fig. 5 and 6 of this manuscript. The figure captions red:
Fig.5: The growth rates vs flow velocity without magnetic field (black) and with field (red). To guide the eyes, the data are fitted by cubic splines (solid lines).
Fig.6: The stability diagrams for a magnetic field of $H=0$kA/m (black) and 3.98 kA/m (red). The circles mark the critical velocity determined from linear interpolation of the experimental data, and the error bars denote an upper bound for this procedure.
The solid (dashed) line displays the curve by equation (\ref{eq:U_crit}) with (without) externally applied field, respectively.
