资源简介:
15th/16th century twin-light ogee-headed limestone window with hood moulding above in the centre of the eastern gable of Monsea church ruins, Co. Tipperary. The medieval parish church of Monsea (Maigh Saotha/Plain of the diseases), stands in the diocese of Killaloe, barony of Ormond Lower. The window has been inserted into an earlier 13th century trefoil-headed single-light sandstone window, the blocked-up head of which is clearly visible above the hood-moulding. In the 13th century the eastern gable of the church was lit by three single light-trefoil headed windows. In the 15th/16th century the central single light trefoil-headed window was replaced by a twin-light window.
