Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and isotopes data from sediments collected in the Gulf of Mexico; May, September and November 2010, July 2011, July 2012 and July 2013

This data set investigates the distribution of aliphatics and petroleum biomarkers in surface and subsurface sediments collected in the Gulf of Mexico using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). Additional data include organic carbon contents and carbon isotopic signatures. Samples were collected in May, September and November 2010, July 2011, July 2012 and July 2013.
