TOGA COARE soundings from Thursday Island. Version 1.0

This dataset consists of sounding data from Thursday Island in Australia (WMO 94175) which was operated by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. Soundings were taken twice per day (00 and 12 UTC) during the IOP. UCAR/JOSS conducted no quality control on these data. This dataset includes pressure, temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and altitude taken at 10 second vertical intervals. Refer to the station README file for details. NOTE: This dataset has been updates (5/2/2002) with corrected data for the humidity measurement errors of the Vaisala RS 80 radiosonde (Wang et al 2002). Please see the README for details.
