This volume is an index to municipal and shire ratings kept by the Resumed Properties Department. It appears to relate to rates to be paid to local governments for properties in use for government purposes across the state.The first page of each letter of the index is divided into shires and municipalities with folio numbers. Within each letter on the following pages the index is divided into columns for shires and municipalities and then columns for public schools and other premises with folio numbers. Among the entries for other premises the purposes include police station, police barracks, public reserve, paddock, gaol, pilot residence, reformatory, lockup, irrigation farm, caretaker's cottage, custom house, Lands office, morgue, technical college, nursery, courthouse, viticulture station, postmaster's residence and forestry office.The volume which it indexes does not appear to be extant.
