Microbiome in the shell-boring conchocelis of Pyropia yezoensis

Pyropia yezoensis is an economically important marine alga, and its shell-boring conchocelis phase is crucial for artificial seedling cultivation. Microbial communities symbiotic with the conchocelis can influence the latter's growth, development, and maturation. This study, based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing and environmental factor testing, examined samples from the conchocelis and seawater in the Nantong and Yancheng regions of Jiangsu Province during the summer and autumn.
