Code and datasets associated with a submitted paper titled "Quantitative Thermal Sensory Testing Based on Two-Alternative Forced Choice and Bayesian Adaptive Stimulus Presentation".

As of Apr.15, 2026, The files provided here are made available for the purpose of manuscript peer review.Once the manuscript is accepted for publication, we plan to release these files without access restrictions.

At the top level, this repository contains three folders:1. software2. simulation_results3. experiment_results

1. softwareThe "software" folder contains the software required to operate the developed system. It includes the following two subfolders:The "ThermalSensation" folder contains the complete set of project files for the GUI software. These files can be opened using Microsoft Visual Studio 2022.The "ThermalSensationArduino" folder contains the project files for the Arduino boards, which can be opened using the Arduino IDE.

2. simulation_resultsThe "simulation_results" folder contains the results of computer simulation runs. All results are consolidated into a single CSV file.

3. experiment_resultsThe "experiment_results" folder contains the analyzed results of experiments involving human participants. To ensure participant anonymity, the original raw data are not included. Instead, synthetic data that preserve the key characteristics of the original data are provided, along with the code used to analyze the original data and to generate the synthetic dataset.
