Pine wilt disease (PWD) is caused by pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus , PWN) and poses a serious challenge to the safety of pine forest ecosystems in various countries. Pinus massoniana is an important timber and oleoresin rehreeource species in China, and is also the main target of PWN infection now. However, the defense mechanism of pine trees in response to pine wood nematode remains unclear. In addition, because pine wood nematode involves a variety of factors such as bacteria, fungi, and environment, which can affect the process of PWN infectation in pine trees, exacerbating the difficulty of the PWD research.
