KnowledgeNet provides texts exhaustively annotated with factual information, enabling holistic end-to-end evaluation of entire knowledge base population systems, which contrasts with prior benchmarks that are more suitable for evaluating individual sub-components such as entity linking and relation extraction. For instance, the dataset contains the text passage: "Gennaro Basile was an Italian painter born in Naples but active in German-speaking countries. He settled in Brno in Moravia, living approximately around 1756...", which expresses the factual triple (Gennaro Basile; RESIDENCE; Moravia).
