The complete sequence of a large single polyprotein of a longan witches' broom-associated virus (LWBaV) isolate, obtained from post-entry quarantine samples of lychee seedlings from China, was determined using RNA sequencing, RT-PCR, and Sanger sequencing. Viral RNA was amplified by RT-PCR using overlapping primer sets, and the resulting amplicons were sequenced via the Sanger method. This dataset includes the raw Sanger sequencing data generated through both direct PCR (labeled as "PCR") and TA cloning (labeled as "M13F-pUC") methods, which were employed to assemble and produce a consensus of the full-length polyprotein. The archive includes:.ab1 Files: Raw Chromatogram Trace Data from Capillary Electrophoresis..txt files: Base-called sequences are exported from chromatogram analysis software, available in either FASTA or plain text format.High-throughput sequencing (HTS) reads generated in parallel are available under BioProject PRJNA1256634. The assembled polyprotein sequence has been deposited in GenBank under accession number PV470486.This dataset facilitates the molecular characterization of LWBaV and is provided to ensure transparency and enable independent verification.
