Upper Part of a colossal statue of Amenhotep at The British Museum, London

This fine sculpture stood in the king's mortuary temple to the west of the Nile at Thebes. It was part of an extensive array of architectural sculpture which adorned this temple. The temple was made in the Eighteenth Dynasty, about 1370 BC, for the king Amenhotep III   This object is part of Scan The World.
