Effects of chelated iron supplementation for maternity sows and iron injection to young piglets on plasma iron status, growth, and intestinal microbiota of piglets until weaning

This study aims to investigate the impact of providing gestating and lactating sows with organic iron (80ppm) on the transfer of maternal iron to newborn piglets. It also aims to determine whether this supplementation can improve the piglets' birth and weaning weights and whether there is any significant association between this treatment and the piglet microbiome.
