Amazon holiday season workforce in the U.S. 2012-2021

According to Amazon's announcement, the e-commerce giant planned to hire 125,000 seasonal workers to deal with the high demand that characterizes the holiday shopping period at the end of the year. In 2020, Amazon had already increased its workforce to handle the surge in orders resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to fewer workers being hired just for the season.
