"The raw imagery for Urban-UCD was collected from typical built-up areas in Haizhu and Baiyun Districts, Guangzhou, China. These regions are characterized by dense urban morphology, with mixed distributions of high-rise and low-rise buildings and closely interleaved buildings and road networks. Such complex spatial patterns produce rich surface textures and severe shadow occlusions, reflecting the practical challenges of change detection in dense urban areas. In addition, Urban-UCD has a short bi-temporal acquisition interval ranging from two weeks to one month. This high temporal frequency is well suited for capturing subtle building dynamics and supports the study of short-interval urban change monitoring."
