Study of microbial (bacterial) community of Pogostemon cablin Benth. under organic vs. conventional farming

Aim of study was to evaluate the effect of bioinoculant on the growthand essential oil yield of /Pogostemon cablin/ (patchouli) under fieldexperiments of two years. Pyrosequencing of metagenomic 16S rRNA genewas carried out to analyze the effect of bioinoculants on the indigenousbacterial community. This study would help to establish a correlationbetween niche differentiation, growth and disease management inbioinoculants treated /P. cablin/ (patchouli).
