Strategies to Improve Tuberculosis Control and Prevention in Malaysia

Tuberculosis (TB) eradication is one of the public health agendas worldwide. This dissertation serves as evidence base to support strategies to strengthen TB control and prevention in Malaysia. To reinforce TB control, we engaged with key stakeholders and assessed the potential for community pharmacists to contribute to TB services. In the effort to enhance TB prevention, we evaluated the potential to expand latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) management through a preliminary analysis on the health and well-being of people treated for LTBI. The findings provided a rich basis to support the interventions in improving TB management outcomes in Malaysia.
