Sediment and Invertebrate Sampling for Trophic Benthic Ecology Near the Nain Continental Shelf (Labrador Sea), 2019

This data will aid in understanding the contribution of kelp export to ecosystem functions and services in Arctic coastal benthic ecosystems, and the role of different food sources in benthic biodiversity patterns. Isotopic data will increase understanding of benthic trophic relationships, which will inform future marine policy. Biodiversity data will increase understanding of how trophic relationships affect benthic biodiversity, which will provide knowledge for future marine policy. Sediment properties (grain size, porosity, CHN) will add understanding to trophic relationships and biodiversity patterns. Phytopigments will improve understanding of how productivity and trophic ecology interact in this region.
