资源简介:
The paper by Rowther et al. (2024) simulates the evolution of misaligned circumbinary discs using Phantom (Price et al. 2018). A subset of simulations use live radiative transfer by coupling Phantom with MCFOST (Pinte et al. 2006, 2009). The codes used to perform the simulations are available at
Phantom -- https://github.com/danieljprice/phantom
MCFOST -- https://github.com/cpinte/mcfost
The dataset contains the following data to recreate any of the figures:
Selected snapshots of the 6 simulations shown in the paper.
Post-processed aziumuthally averaged data to recreate the line-plots shown in the paper.
Post-processed analysis of the gradient of the specific angular momentum.
To recreate any of the simulations in the paper, all relevant files required are in Simulations.zip.
.setup: The file used by phantomsetup to create the initial conditions of the disc.
.in: The file used by phantom to perform the simulation.
.para: A file containing the parameters used by MCFOST to perform the Radiative Transfer calculations.
The files for the 0.2 Solar mass disc can be identified by the prefix Md0p2. Similarly, the prefix Md0p02 identifies the files for 0.02 Solar mass disc.
The data to recreate any of the figures in the paper are found in Figure_*.zip.
The binary code snapshots (Md0p2_01400, Md0p02_04000 etc.) containing the raw data (particle positions, velocities, thermal energy etc.) can be visualised by Splash (Price 2007) or Sarracen (Harris & Tricco 2023). The latter was used to create the figures in the paper.
