Fish Passage Uncorrected Barriers WA State
收藏资源简介:
This GIS data shows the locations of WSDOT road crossings, including culverts, dams, bridges, and fishways. The GIS data contains attributes identifying location information in latitude and longitude, as well as state plane coordinates and state route and milepost. Additional attributes include indicators for fish use, barrier status, and fish species. It is a subset of data compiled and extracted from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's (WDFW) Fish Passage and Diversion Screening Inventory (FPDSI) database. It includes data compiled from several WDFW and non-WDFW fish passage barrier inventory efforts. The fish barrier map has an impact on infrastructure buildouts. As access is the first step in digital equity, it is a component to be tracked. Access is dependent on knowing the impediments to infrastructure buildout. State law requires construction projects to consider and address Fish Barriers within the project area and can add a level of complexity and cost to a project. Understanding how this information affects a geographical project provides a realistic approach to the proposal and are provided here for consideration.
