VPRS 9496 Examination Results: Leaving Technical Certificate

These volumes are the central summary record of all examination results for the Leaving Technical Certificate (also known as Leaving Technical Subject Certificate from 1965). They contain original forms filled in and signed by the Head Teacher.These volumes record the results attained for the first and final halves of the year for the various subjects undertaken by the students.They provide details of the school attended, the year in which the certificate was granted, names of students, total marks, average (of all subjects) and the certificate number.A Leaving Certificate listing the subject or subjects passed was issued to students at the completion of the fifth year. A pupil must have satisfactorily completed the fourth year technical school course or an equivalent secondary school course accepted by the Director as similar in standard and content.In granting a certificate, consideration was given to the persons full school record in addition to results obtained in any special examination.
