资源简介:

Description of the data and file structure This README provides information about the data files associated with the manuscript titled “Cyclic thermal stress during pupation triggers irreversible carry-over effects in a key pollinator” . These data files contain the entire dataset and RMD file on which our statistical analysis was based on. Files and variables File: Data_CyclicThermalStress.csv Description: This is the main data file, containing: id = bee ID colony = colony name treatment = treatment group to which a larva was assigned to (i.e. 38°C_cyclic; 37°C_cyclic; 34°C_ctrl; colony_ctrl) sex = identified sex in adult bees (male or female) collected = date when 4th instar larva was collected (dd-mm-yyyy) pupated = classifier if a larva began pupation (1 = pupated; 0 = didn’t pupate/died before) pupation_date = date of the 1st day of pupation (dd-mm-yyyy) emerged = classifier if a pupa emerged as an adult bee (1 = emerged; 0 = died before) emergence_date = date of adult emergence (dd-mm-yyyy) days_to_emergence = duration (in days) required for each pupa to develop into an adult (until emergence date) death_date = date when each individual adult died (dd-mm-yyyy)survival_time = number of days an adult bee lived larval_weight = weight of individual larva at the start of the in-vitro rearing (in g) pupal_weight = weight of individual pupa at the start of the experiment (in g) emergence_weight = weight of bee after emergence (in g) head_width = head width (in mm) itd = intertegular distance (in mm) deformations = classifier if an adult bee developed any noticeable morphological deformations regarding its forewings and/or head (1 = present; 0 = absent) def_head =classifier if an adult bee developed any noticeable morphological deformations regarding its head (1 = present; 0 = absent) def_antennae = classifier if an adult bee developed any noticeable morphological deformations regarding its antennae (1 = present; 0 = absent) def_wings = classifier if an adult bee developed any noticeable morphological deformations regarding its wings (1 = present; 0 = absent) notes = notes dry_mass = adult dry mass without forewings (in g)lipid_cont = calculated lipid mass after lipid extraction (in g)rel_lipid_cont = relative lipid content, calculated as lipid_content/dry_weight natural_death = classifier if mortality data of individuals could collected without additional external factors (1) or if other external factors may have caused an earlier death, e.g. a leaking feeder (0) File: RCode_CyclicThermalStress.Rmd Description: This is the R Markdown file containing the complete R code for reproducing the statistical analysis and figures presented in our manuscript.
