Brazos River Estuary benthic data from 10-18-00 to 7-30-05

Samples were collected every quarter from 10-18-00 and are planned to end on 7-30-05. For each sample taken, data is recorded on date, time, location, and weather conditions. 3 stations are sampled each period. Sediment core samples are taken to benthic macroinfaunal abundance, biomass, and community structure. Ancillary sediment characteristics are measured annually, usually in October. The sediment characteristics measured are grain size, total carbon content, total nitrogen content, total organic carbon content, and porosity. The purpose of the entire data set is determine the maintenance of secondary productivity by long-term changes in estuary as it relates to changes in freshwater inflow dynamics
