"Anthracnose, caused by fungal pathogens of the genus Colletotrichum, is one of the most destructive postharvest diseases affecting bananas, leading to rapid decay, significant economic losses, and reduced fruit quality. Despite its impact, the availability of real-time, disease-specific datasets capturing the progression of anthracnose-induced decay remains limited. This work presents Banana-Anthracnose, a comprehensive real-time dataset designed to document and analyze banana decay resulting from Colletotrichum-driven anthracnose infection.The dataset captures temporal decay progression under controlled conditions, enabling detailed observation of symptom development, lesion expansion, and surface degradation associated with fungal infection. Data were collected continuously to reflect real-world disease dynamics, supporting quantitative analysis of decay severity and progression patterns. The dataset is suitable for applications in plant pathology, postharvest disease monitoring, computer vision, and data-driven modeling, including machine learning and intelligent agriculture systems.By providing high-quality, real-time data focused explicitly on Colletotrichum-induced anthracnose, this dataset aims to facilitate early disease detection, decay prediction, and the development of automated monitoring solutions for sustainable banana production and postharvest management."
