Digital Orthophotos Flood Event 2021 NW

Geobasis NRW provides special DOP after the devastating storm events in 2021. The orthophotos are used to document the damage caused, which are not only recognisable in the short term after the events but also in the long term. This service includes orthophotos as required. These were notified to the needs immediately after completion of production for use, but do not fully satisfy the quality standards of the official surveying system. In coordination with the municipalities, four areas in NRW could be defined for which an airfly was considered necessary in the spring of 2022. Here Geobasis NRW commissioned special image flights, which took place successfully in February and April of this year. Due to the unsolicited vegetation at this time of year, this time is particularly well suited to inspect the damage by means of aerial image data.
