Investigation of the wheat value chain in Norway

The project is a master's thesis at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) which examined what actors in the wheat value chain consider to be obstacles and opportunities for the utilization of Norwegian wheat for food, in addition to how they experience communication and cooperation in the value chain.

Data for the project is interview data based on semi-structured interviews of actors in the value chain, from the plant breeders on one end to the grocery chains on the other. Seven themes were identified through a content analysis: driving forces, cultivation, consumer, infrastructure, grain access, quality requirements and collaboration.
