RNAseq data was generated from 3 individual cell lines to assess the transcriptional changes due to the overexpression of HPGD. HPGD plays an important function in removal of prostaglandins such as PGE2. It can therefore potentially counteract excess PGE2 production found in many cancers including breast cancer. The parent cell line was MCF7, and two clonally selected derivatives were used: H14 (generated through transfection of a HPGD over expression construct and selected using G418), and a control X17 "empty expression cassette" also selected using G418. RNA was harvested from confluent cells grown in DMEM with 1% FCS and 0.1% DMSO. This was performed in triplicate for each cell line. mRNA libraries were generated using Illumina TruSeq stranded mRNA kit, and sequenced using an Illumina NextSeq 500 with a single end 75 bp read length.
