Connecticut Contractor Database by Industry and S/MBE Certification

The Connecticut Contractor Database by Industry and Small and Minority Business Enterprises (S/MBE), which is to be updated annually by the Office of Policy and Management, was developed pursuant to Public Act 25-168 Section 200. The Act requires the Chief Data Officer, or their designee, in consultation with the Commissioner of Administrative Services and the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, to create and post an annual database of available contractors by industry and geographic location, while indicating which contractors are certified as small contractors or minority business enterprises. <b>Data Source Note</b>: The core of this database is derived from the <a href=https://data.ct.gov/Business/Connecticut-Business-Registry-Business-Master/n7gp-d28j/about_data>CT SOTS Business Registry</a>, but only for businesses with an <b>"Active"</b> status. Each row represents a business, and most columns originate from the registry, excluding columns tagged as 'SBE_' or 'MBE_' and specific data source flags. To research businesses without an <b>active</b> status or for real-time registration data, please refer directly to the live <a href=https://data.ct.gov/Business/Connecticut-Business-Registry-Business-Master/n7gp-d28j/about_data>CT SOTS Business Registry</a>, as this database is maintained via annual updates. Current: No annual report due</dd> <dd style="margin: 0; padding-left: 50px;">b). Overdue: A required annual report is past due</dd> <dd style="margin: 0; padding-left: 50px;">c). Delinquent: Business is more than one year behind on a required annual report and subject to administrative dissolution</dd> </b> 2). Active - Pending Domestication: A domestication has been filed with a delayed effective date. Domestication transfers the entity’s formation jurisdiction from one jurisdiction to another. Once effective, the status will change to Active or Domesticated. 3). Cancelled: For Limited Partnerships only, has filed to voluntarily dissolve 4). Consolidation: Two or more entities combine to form a new entity 5). Converted: An entity changes type e.g. a LLC becomes a Corporation 6). Converted Out: An entity changes type and state of formation 7). Dissolved: Domestic Entity voluntarily terminates existence 8). Domesticated: An entity changes state of formation to another state 9). Expired: A name reservation has expired. A reservation is good for 120 days 10). Forfeited: A domestic entity was administratively dissolved by SOTS 11). Merged: A entity merged into another entity, the separate existence of the merged entity ceases 12). Pending Conversion: A conversion filed with a delayed effective date, once effective date occurs will change to active or converted out 13).
