Wind statistics and wind-induced bending moments measured on nine Colorado spruce during a pruning experiment

The dataset contains 15,640 observations of wind statistics and wind-induced bending moments computed from 30-minute intervals. Data were collected between July 2023 and January 2024 from nine Colorado spruce (Picea pungens) experimentally pruned to raise or thin crowns at severities between 0 and 40%. In columns, the variables include DT (date and time for each 30-minute interval), Tree (unique identifier for experimental trees), Type (pruning type: raised or thinned), Severity (pruning intensity: 0 - 40%), uMaxH (maximum horizontal wind speed), uMeanH (mean horizontal wind speed), uMaxS (maximum streamwise wind speed), uMeanS (mean streamwise wind speed), uStarMax (maximum friction velocity), uStarMean (mean friction velocity), mMax (maximum momentum flux), mMean (mean momentum flux), MbMax (maximum resultant bending moment), MbMean (mean resultant bending moment), uMbMax (maximum streamwise bending moment), uMbMean (mean streamwise bending moment), and uDir (modal wind direction).
