Strategic noise maps are diagnostic documents designed to provide a representation of the exposure of populations to the noises of land transport infrastructure. They make it possible to identify the areas to be taken into account for priority actions (allowing the drawing up of an environmental noise prevention plan), sensitive areas (hospitals, schools, etc.) and quiet areas (green areas, pedestrian areas, etc.) to be protected from noise.
