BIG011 - Biga - Conversational questionnaires (Dialogues A 'We're going fishing', D 'A family album', and E 'A boy falls')

This dataset contains dialogues elicited using the Conversational Questionnaire method (François 2019, 'A proposal for conversational questionnaires') for Biga with Semuel Mandurun (born 1970), a native speaker of Biga. The dialogues were Dialogue A ('We're going fishing'), Dialogue D ('A family album'), and Dialogue E ('A boy falls'). The session was recorded on 2 January 2020, in Biga village (Misool island, Raja Ampat regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). The recording of this session is split across three audio files: BIG011-01, BIG011-02, and BIG011-03. This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian' (PF19\100004); additional fieldwork funds were provided by a British Academy Small Grant (SG1920\100342).
